About CheckUAE
An independent project built in Dubai: free calculators and checkers for the fees, fines and entitlements that shape everyday life in the UAE.
Why this exists
Most UAE calculator sites fall into two buckets: official tools with dated interfaces, and thin ad-farms with numbers nobody has verified in years. Rules here change often — labour law, visa fines, utility tariffs, rent caps — and a calculator built on last year's tariff is worse than no calculator at all.
CheckUAE takes the boring position that correctness is the product.
Methodology
- Official sources only. Every tool implements a specific law, resolution or published tariff, and links to it. If we can't source a rule officially, we don't ship the tool.
- Dated verification. Every tool displays when its formula and data were last checked. Verification runs on a weekly cycle, and a tool whose source has changed is corrected before anything else is published.
- Transparent conventions. Where more than one calculation convention exists in the market (for example, daily-wage divisors in gratuity maths), we state which one we use and why.
- Estimates, clearly labelled. Our results are planning estimates, not official determinations. Final figures always rest with the relevant authority or your contract.
Independence
CheckUAE is not affiliated with any UAE government entity. The site is free to use and always will be. If a page ever contains partner or referral links, they are clearly marked as such and never affect a tool's numbers.
Corrections
Spotted something off? Every report is reviewed as part of the weekly verification cycle. A public contact address is being set up and will appear here shortly.
